Penang trip
DAY 1: arrived B'worth at about 7am. we took the ferry (RM1.20 15mins) to reach Penang jetty. went to find the tourism office but quite disappointed of their service & all tat. board a lousy shuttle bus towards our hotel. pls dun expect much from everything u can get from here. the weather is hot, the road is dirty, the service is lousy, the hotel is old & smelly, ahhhh, its sucks.had a char kuay tiaw at the kopitiam just opposite the hotel, hmm taste very nice, RM2.50, cheap & great! oh the kopi-c very rich in flavor.
had some shopping at Prangin mall, things are quite cheap, t shirts from RM10, bags from RM25, shoes from RM20. after tat we took a taxi to Gurney Plaza (RM15) and walked to Gurney drive hawker stalls for dinner. we made a wrong way towards the hawker stalls, actually it is the left side when u come out from Gurney Plaza. while we made an extra walks to the other part. there's many mouse & cockroaches at the seaside and rocks. very scary as what it called "Pulau Tikus" in Malay Language, means "Mouse Island". ='=
the fried oyster omelet at right is good. the rest eg.asam laksa, char kuey tiaw, rojak still ok.
DAY 2: after check out, we took a taxi to Tanjong Bungah for RM20. check in to Paradise Sandy Beach Hotel. at least a decent one. RM170 per nite only. our room decor n the view from our balcony.
they provide shuttle service to Batu Ferrighi & Gurney Drive also. to komtar only RM5 per person. i think if we could stay here for the previous nite then there's no such suffering for Q n I.
after grab some quick lunch at downstairs delifrance, we took the public bus (RM2) to Tropical Spice Garden. had some afternoon tea also.
went to batu ferrighi hawker stall for dinner. i think this is a very popular tourist spot, therefore the food wasnt nice. took the bus went back to hotel. the public bus we took. open-air type.
pass by the floating mosque.
stop by the toy museum, entrance RM10, just infront corpthone orchid. there's hell lots of toys miniature, ranges of collections.
the sun here only start to fall on 7.30pm.. a long sunny day..
not to mention the indian restaurant opp the hotel. the food is very nice. hmm but we forgot to bring the camera during supper time. hehe..
DAY 3: check out Paradise Sandy Beach Resort. took the taxi to penang jetty (RM25), then went to B'W jetty. put our luggage at B'W office, then spent the whole day at Megamall penang. the weather just too hot. time to go Melaka.
